Listen: Vybz Kartel New Single “X (All Of Your Exes)”

Vybz Kartel wants his ladies to forget all their ex-boyfriends.

The incarceration deejay is spitting out new music than the rest of dancehall combined. This is his fourth new track since the start of the year and we’re told at least two more is on the way. For this new joint “X (All Of Your Exes),” Vybz Kartel teams up with his longtime producer Linton “TJ” White who owns TJ Record. “All of your ex exed out / You don’t have to explain / Your life is excellent / Come on baby / Let’s go party / Amma bring da Bentley around / Best ride a u life / And amma make you love come down / Best time a u life,” Kartel sings on the hook.

Vybz Kartel and Tommy Lee Sparta recently made peace and earlier this week the Sparta deejay visited his former mentor in prison for the first time since his incarceration. The move promoted some fans to call for him to make peace with another of his former students, Popcaan. Turns out their falling out is a lot more complex than we previously thought and just last week we saw the “Clarks” deejay’s right hand man Sikka Rymes releasing a Popcaan diss track.

Listen to Vybz Kartel new song “X (All Of Your Exes)” below.

Tommy Lee Sparta Visits Vybz Kartel In Prison For First Time

Tommy Lee Sparta finally visits Vybz Kartel in prison.

Kartel’s right hand man Sikka Rymes confirmed that he brought the “Soul Reaper” deejay to visit the Worl’Boss at GP yesterday and everything went smooth. We’re told that Sean Kingston was the middleman who asked Kartel to make peace with Tommy Lee Sparta and then Rymes organized the visit. DancehallHipHop reached out to the Sparta deejay’s camp for a comment and was told that the meetup was in the works since last month.

“It’s something that’s been in the pipeline for a few weeks now because that’s how the system work, you have to book a visit way in advance, you can’t just show and expect to see someone,” a rep for the deejay told us. “Tommy Lee and Vybz Kartel have a long history, they have been very close friends for years so a lot of what has been reported in the media doesn’t accurately reflect their true relationship. Tommy has a lot of respect for Kartel who first brought him to the forefront of music.”

This marks the first time that Tommy Lee Sparta is visiting Vybz Kartel in prison since his incarceration in 2011. We’re told that they spoke about the state of the music and catch up on old times. “They just sat down and chop it up like old times.” In an interview last September, Sparta spoke about his legal troubles and how his association with Vybz Kartel has caused him problems in his career.

“I feel like they put something on my name,” he said. “Every time I try to travel, they treat me different, like I am some bomber. When they run my passport, Vybz Kartel business comee up and everything. They are acting like I am involved in certain things and pure red lines come up on my documents at the airports.

Vybz Kartel Fans Roast Sean Kingston Even After Prison Visit

Vybz Kartel fans are savage for this.

Sean Kingston paid a visit to the Worl’Boss at GP last week and came back saying that the dancehall icon is in good spirit and has big plans for this year. You would think that is some great news for the Gazanation fans but turns out that Kingston got trolled instead of a pat on the back all because his pant was a bit too tight for some folks.

Sean Kingston posted a photo of himself and two of Vybz Kartel’s friends, Sikka Rymes and Theo Prince, standing outside the prison on the day he visited the deejay. “2nd day back in Just went to pay the Wurlboss @vybzkartel another visit di teacher is in good faith with a lot of great plans for #2018 Big up di link @sikka_rymes for the invitation,” the reggae-pop singer wrote.

Some of Vybz Kartel fans went in about his outfit among other things that I think went a bit too far. “Free up the World Boss and tell Sean Kingston fi free up him pants,” one fan wrote, while another added, “His bottom half fava when miss kitty stand up and pose.”

One fan even suggested that Vybz Kartel should refuse to meet with him dressing like he was. “Why would the boss meet with this man dressing like that is not a good look,” the fan said.

Vybz Kartel & Ishawna Song Not Recorded In Prison Says Producer

Since Vybz Kartel and Ishawna drop their new single “Washer Dryer” there have been chatters that the song was recorded behind bars.

Vybz Kartel has been fighting back allegations for the last few years that he has been recording music in prison. He recently released two new singles with Ishawna and some dancehall fans are saying that they were both recorded in prison. The Gazanation deejay’s close friend and producer Sikka Rymes says the claims are bogus because the songs were recorded before Kartel went to prison.

“She was always a fan of Kartel’s music, and she always wanted to be on a record with him,” Rymes said. “So I told him that she’d love to meet him and he allowed the visit, that’s how she got introduced. The songs they claim he is recording behind bars are songs that have been voiced already. So, when I link him, we just talk bout business and such. I basically link the producers and tell them what to release, and pick songs. As you can see, the song with Shenseea wasn’t originally a collaboration, but dem fix it up and make it look like that.”

Vybz Kartel and Ishawna recently released a music video for the single “Washer Dryer” and are promoting another single “How Can You.” Aside from that new single with Ishawna, Kartel has released more than half a dozen new singles since the start of the month prompting more discussions on whether or not he has been recording music in prison.

In March of this year, the Commissioner of Corrections, Ina Hunter, conducted an investigation into the allegations and concluded that there are no evidence to suggest that Vybz Kartel is recording music in prison. The “Fever” deejay also denied the reports that he has been recording new music behind bars. The deejay is currently awaiting his appeal trial set for February 18, 2018.

Vybz Kartel Affiliate Sikka Rymes Defends Friendship With Controversial Deejay

Vybz Kartel can be toxic to some artists who are affiliated with him currently or in the past and Sikka Rymes is learning about that now.

Last month, Tommy Lee Sparta spoke about the hardship he has been facing with his career due to his past affiliation with Vybz Kartel. Now Sikka Rymes is getting some bad press all because a photo of himself and Kartel surfaced online recently. The pic was taken during a recent family visit at the GP prison where inmates family and friends got a chance to spend the day with them behind bars.

“We reside in the same community, and as a young artiste I got introduced to him by my cousin, Shawn Storm,” Sikka Rymes said. “At the moment, I’m not signed to any labels under the Gaza brand, but my label, which is Sikk Records, is all about the Gaza movement and maintaining it. The affiliation with the deejay will bring me under the microscopes, yes, but I’m not worried about that.”

Sikka Rymes who is cousin with Vybz Kartel’s protege Shawn Storm who is also currently serving a life sentence for said murder case Kartel was convicted for. Rymes says that if it was up to him alone he would have kept his friendship with the Gazanation leader prison, but with social media these days nothing is kept private.
