Meek Mill – Letter to Nipsey Lyrics

We did this **** all for the gutter, woah, w-woah, woah
Did this **** for my lil’ brother, woah, w-woah, woah (Brother)
Had to stare through these tears, ’cause I see you every time my eyes close (Every time my eyes)
Asking myself why you had to go, but only God knows (Only God knows)
[Verse 2: Roddy Ricch]
I was in Miami when I lost you, I ain’t talk about it (Yeah)
I remember I bawled out in tears when I saw your body (Mmh)
And the flight back home, had cold days in LA (Hmm)
Had to turn off my phone, throw on the shades, and meditate
What you know ’bout wishing goin’ blind to hide your tears? We did this **** all for the gutter, woah, w-woah, woah
Did this **** for my lil’ brother, woah, w-woah, woah (Brother)
Had to stare through these tears, ’cause I see you every time my eyes close (Every time my eyes)
Asking myself why you had to go, but only God knows (Only God knows) Play this song
[Intro: Meek Mill]
Yeah
[Verse 1: Meek Mill]
I just left your viewing at the Staples Center (I did)
Obama wrote you a letter, yeah, you made it, nigga (You made it)
I even heard you had some players to come to Vegas with us
And them suckers could never kill you, it only made you bigger (Yeah)
And every time I see some fire, I see blue
And every time I close my eyes, see Snupe and I see you
When I be on the Westside (Westside), you know how we do (How we do)
Hustle and motivate, turning one into a two (Two)
Two into four, hurt my heart, I seen you on the floor
Do it for the hood, man, I don’t even wanna do it no more
When these niggas you do it for, they’ll shoot you and all
Only thing I can say is you with Allah, blessings (Blessings)
And I ain’t finna sit here, act like I’m your main homie (I won’t)
But when we lost you, it really put some pain on me (It did)
Got me scared to go outside without that flame on me (Brrrt)
And when them niggas went against me, you ain’t change on me (You ain’t change on me)
Told me it was wrong or right, some of my longest nights (What you do?)
You made me cry, nigga (Cry, nigga), and I don’t cry, nigga (I don’t cry, nigga)
You the first one made me feel like I could die, nigga (Like I could die)
‘Cause real niggas never die, you know the vibes, nigga (You know the vibes, nigga), yeah
Couple days ago, was chilling with my youngins
Seen your kids on the ‘Gram, it made me sicker to my stomach (Made me sick)
And as the marathon continue, we keep running (We won’t stop)
But I’m like, damn, I wish you seen that pussy coming, for real
[Chorus: Roddy Ricch]
I wish I knew when the storm came (Storm came)
How many tears did you cry when you lost someone? Had a lot of murder on my mind, but in God, I fear
Took Yompton and Crenshaw around the globe in a year (Woah)
‘Member ridin’ solo, now it’s Escalades in my rear (Woah)
I just hustle, motivate, be prolific, hold down the state
My big brother Hussle the great, I know Cobby, Supreme relate
I know Jay Rock, Hoggy relate
Blacc Sam, Adam relate, Keeda, J Stone relate
Lauren, Pacman, it’s love, I wanna see you do great
[Chorus: Roddy Ricch]
I wish I knew when the storm came (Storm came)
How many tears did you cry when you lost someone?

Jay Rock – The Bloodiest Lyrics

[Verse 1]
The devil thought he had me, I was on back burners
Moon walkin’ fast, y’all respect my journey
Evil tappin’ in like the Feds was watchin’
No album, no dope, I was all out of options
I’d rather rob than get a job, don’t insult me
Remember it was nicks and dimes in ’03
I was doing bad so I took your bag
Tables turned, lessons learned, karma come back fast
Flipped off that bitch, milly rockin’ the wheel
200 thousand in the bank, straight to hospital bills
Momma still got the shakes, prayin’ I’m all right
Dreams of enemies in the lobby when they hit the lights
So many niggas be wishin’ they was you bro
Same niggas that hit you with that, “I love you bro”
Tread softly, see the snakes comin’ I pop ’em off me
Nigga, my life costly

[Chorus]
Bitch where? Tell me you a real one, bitch where?
Tell me you gon’ kill some, bitch where?
Say you in the field huh? Bitch where?

[Verse 2]
Battle scars and tribulations, downfalls from the situations
I bounced off with dedication, accounted for my participation
Gettin’ pounds off, gettin’ rounds off, gettin’ blocks back I facilitated
When I sound off, you a groundhog, that’s a casket and a pillow waitin’
Magic in a dope spot, four chickens, that’s Popeye’s
More spinach, that’s Popeye, four women sippin’ Mai Tais
I’m a cold nigga, free my guys, free PI, free [?]
Free shooter Ray from the foul line, we gon get money or die tryin’
Jay Rock and I’m back bitch, watch out, blow your back, bitch
Be cool, gotta relax bitch, I’m only speakin’ facts, bitch
I been through the bullshit to the pulpit, up shit’s creek
Been a nuisance to my OGs, got a new sense 2018
Put that on the bloodiest, whip clean, I’m the bloodiest
Bitch cling on the bloodiest, pull up, I’ma fuck with it
Slide in for the tape deck, got a best friend she say less
Fake threats, I’ma fade that, either pay checks or I pay debt

[Chorus]
Bitch where? Tell me you a real one, bitch where?
Tell me you gon’ kill some, bitch where?
Say you in the field huh? Bitch where?

[Outro]
Lock and loaded, I control it
Rock and roll it, don’t you notice, I’m the coldest
Lock and loaded, I control it
Rock and roll it, don’t you notice, I’m the coldest
Lock and loaded, I control it
Rock and roll it, don’t you notice, I’m the coldest
Lock and loaded, I control it
Rock and roll it, don’t you notice, I’m the coldest

Part I

[Chorus: Kendrick Lamar]
Miss me with that bullshit (bullshit)
You ain’t really wild, you a tourist (a tourist)
I be blackin’ out with the purist (the purist)
I made a hundred thou’ then I freaked it (I freaked it)
I made 500 thou’ then I freaked it (I freaked it)

This ain’t what you want, this ain’t what you want (what you want)
This ain’t what you want, this ain’t what you want (what you want)

[Verse 1: Jay Rock]
And it’s like that, lil’ bitch
MVP, I don’t get no sleep, no, I don’t like that, lil’ bitch
Bust that open, I want that ocean, yeah that bite back, lil’ bitch
Do it bite back, lil’ bitch? Need two life jackets, lil’ bitch
I ain’t gon’ hold you, I ain’t gon’ press you, never control you
I ain’t gon’ front you, keep it 100, I don’t know you
Boss like Top Dawg, bossed my life up, crossin’ over
Stutter steppin’, got a Hall of Fame in all my posters
I’ve been ready, my whip been ready
My bitch been ready, my clique been ready
My shit’s been ready, my check’s been ready
My shot’s on full, that’s Armageddon
I got pull, I hope y’all ready
My tank on full, you know, unleaded
I gotta go get it, I gotta go get it
I gotta go get it, I gotta go get it
My name gon’ hold up, my team gon’ hold up
My name gon’ hold up, my team gon’ hold up
My shots gon’ fire, my team gon’ roll up
Ménage-à-trois, my queen gon’ roll up
I hope y’all ready, you know I’m ready
I rain all day, you know, confetti
I gotta go get it, I gotta go get it
I gotta go get it, I gotta go get it, skrrt

[Chorus: Future & Kendrick Lamar]
Miss me with that bullshit (bullshit)
You’re not a gang member, you’s a tourist (a tourist)
I be blackin’ out, I be blackin’ out
Bought an ’83 Cutlass for the weekend (for the weekend)
I got a hundred thousand, then I freaked it (then I freaked it)
I made 500 thousand, then I freaked it (then I freaked it)
I put a Rolls Royce on my wrist, oh yeah
Fuck his baby mama tryna sneak diss
I took her to my penthouse, then I freaked it (then I freaked it)
I haven’t made my mind up, should I keep it? (should I keep it?)
I got big dog status, it ain’t no secret

[Bridge: Future & Jay Rock]
La di da di da, slob on me knob
Pass me some syrup, fuck me in the car
La di da di da, mothafuck the law
Chitty chitty bang, murder everything
Bitch, I’m on a roll and I put that on the gang

[Chorus: Kendrick Lamar]
Yeah, miss me with that bullshit (bullshit)
You ain’t really wild, you a tourist (a tourist)
I be blackin’ out with the purist (the purist)
I made a hundred thou’ then I freaked it (I freaked it)
I made 500 thou’ then I freaked it (I freaked it)
I bought a ’87 for the weekend (the weekend)
This ain’t what you want, this ain’t what you want (what you want)
This ain’t what you want, this ain’t what you want (what you want)

Part II

[Intro: James Blake]
Changes
Is you gon’ do something?
What you want?

[Verse 2: Kendrick Lamar]
Red light, green light, red light, green light
Red light, green light, they like, we like
Fast cars, fast money, fast life, fast broads
Egotistic, goin’ ballistic, why God?
Born warrior, lookin’ for euphoria, but I don’t see it
I don’t feel it, I’m paraplegic, tapped in when I’m maxed in
Compound with the MAC 10s and the pumps in the background
I was absent, never OG, standout
I was lackin’ everything else but doubt
In the Magnum, holding Magnums with a Magnum
Nigga, ad-lib and I sing out loud
Never had friends, never had ends, never had hope
They was like, "Nope," I was like, "Boo yaow, boo yaow"
Yeah, God, tee off the day
Know we off the, be off the, eat off your plate
Throw me off, I be, "Off ya head"
Well ate, on C4, I’m way off the edge
Fuck integrity, fuck your pedigree, fuck your feelings, fuck your culture
Fuck your mom, fuck your family, fuck your drive
Fuck your land, fuck your children, fuck your wives
Who am I? Not your father, not your brother
Not your reason, not your future
Not your comfort, not your reverence, not your glory
Not your heaven, not your angel, not your spirit
Not your message, not your freedom
Not your people, not your neighbor
Not your baby, not your equal
Not the title y’all want me under
All hail King Killmonger
Red light, green light, red light, green light
Red light, green light, they like, we like
Fast cars

Nipsey Hussle – “Dedication” (ft. Kendrick Lamar)

In the wake of his third full-length masterwork DAMN., Kendrick Lamar has not disappeared. On the contrary he has felt as omnipresent as ever thanks to well-curated guest appearances, including Rich the Kid’s “New Freezer” (a current Billboard hit) and Jay Rock’s “King’s Dead,” off the TDE-helmed Black Panther soundtrack on which he stars across a host of tracks even when uncredited. His newest guest spot comes alongside fellow L.A. rapper Nipsey Hussle, who has managed to keep his name in the news over the past few years for reasons both good (“FDT”) and bad (homophobia). “Dedication” is about what you’d expect—a thick West Coast production over which both rappers sound very at home.

Kendrick Lamar and The Weeknd Collaborating On ‘Black Panther’ Album

Kendrick Lamar and The Weeknd are joining forces for the upcoming Black Panther: The Album.

The TDE rapper and Tog Dawg are executive producing the project and now we are learning that The Weeknd will be making some contributions. The movie itself is gearing up to be one of the biggest, if not the biggest premiere this year with pre-sale tickets already sold out. Kendrick Lamar is hoping that the hype around the moving will fuel interest in the soundtrack and already it’s showing signs that it will.

There are a few singles off the project that has already been released including a cut that will be featured on Jay Rock’s upcoming album. Complex reported that Kendrick Lamar and The Weeknd are putting together a collaboration for the soundtrack. There is no word yet on when the single or the album will arrive but definitely look out for it sooner than later.

K-Dot and The Weeknd have previously collaborated on the Canadian singer’s last album Starboy on the single “Sidewalks.” That track was a huge hit among fans of two of the biggest music stars in the world. The R&B singer posted a Black Panther artwork on his Instagram earlier this week, a clear sign that he has something coming on the project.

Aside from curating the Black Panther soundtrack, Kendrick is getting ready to go on tour with his labelmate SZA. Top Dawg Entertainment recently announced the “Top Dawg Entertainment Championship Tour” with the rapper and the singer as co-headliners. Lance Skiiwalker, Isaiah Rashad, ScHoolboy Q, Jay Rock, SiR, and Ab-Soul are also on the lineup. The label will be announcing the tour dates soon but it’s looking like another blockbuster affair for K-Dot and the TDE camp who have been having an impressive run over the past few years.
